Lunar Keymap was created to streamline coding workflows by providing comprehensive keyboard shortcuts for VS Code. The project included editor and explorer navigation, shortcut menus, file operations, debugging, Git integration, and customizable keybindings, providing speed, consistency, and accessibility for developers. Before this project, developers relied on mouse interactions and fragmented shortcuts, reducing efficiency. My goal was to deliver a keyboard-centric extension that simplifies common development tasks, ensuring speed, reliability, and configurability were central. The final result is a fully integrated extension with over 2,000 global installs, combining intuitive navigation, menu-driven keybinding access, and workflow optimizations for enhanced productivity.
